At Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California, we strive to help families with sick children face their circumstances with a sense of courage and hope as we provide them with the essentials needed to endure some of the most difficult times.
At Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California, we express our mission through our programs, which include six Ronald McDonald Houses in Bakersfield, Inland Empire, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Pasadena. We operate two Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at CHOC Children's Hospital in Orange and CHOC Children's at Mission Hospital, and we are developing new Family Rooms in Ventura, at Ventura County Medical Center, and in West Los Angeles, at UCLA/Mattel Children's Hospital. We are also one of the only Ronald McDonald House Charities chapters across the world that operates a cost-free, medically-supervised Camp for children with cancer and their families, Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times.
This year the Long Beach Ronald McDonald House is celebrating 10 years of creating a community where children and their families embrace life and healing with a sense of hope, enthusiasm, courage, and joy. Since welcoming our first family in December 2011, our House has provided comfort, care and support to almost 5,000 families. That's more than 20,000 guests who have stayed with us in their time of need.
