I worked for more than 5 years at the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House. It was an incredible honor everyday spending time with the families. The best part of my job was sharing in their joys and successes. And when needed, I provided them with a shoulder to cry on - or an ear to listen to their concerns. I saw the direct impact of the money raised to help support the families.
I am now working at UCLA and I was thrilled to hear they are fundraising to open a Ronald McDonald House near UCLA’s Mattel Children’s Hospital.
When you donate to support me on the Walk For Kids, you are providing care, comfort, and support to thousands of families in the local area so that they can focus on what’s most important – healing their sick child. You are making these moments possible by providing a "home away from home" to families while their children receive medical treatment at local children's and other nearby hospitals.
I ask you to please sponsor me in their Walk for Kids. I have also been asked to be on the Walk Committee and I have set a very lofty goal of $4,000 and need your support to make this happen.
Thank you so much for your consideration. I look forward to keeping you posted on my progress to locally help critically ill children and their families.
