Dear Family and Friends,
As many of you know, I have been actively involved with the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House for many years. For years, I served as the Chair of the annual Walk for Kids - the organizations biggest annual fundraiser. Over the past three years, I've had the pleasure of serving as the President of the Board of Trustees of the LA Ronald McDonald House, which is one of six houses, plus camp, in the Southern California Chapter of the Ronald McDonald House.
There's no doubt that the 12+ past months has been anything but normal. It's like everything that used to be "normal" has been turned on its head, whether for individuals or businesses. But sadly, the need for the services that the Ronald McDonald House organization provide have not changed in the least, if anything, the needs have increased. Children still get very ill and require urgent medical attention at hospitals around the world. The Ronald McDonald Houses serve a critical role in the support system of those families, and now more than ever, we have to make sure we can continue to keep our doors open.
When you donate to support me as I Walk For Kids, you are providing care, comfort, and support to thousands of families in the local area so that they can focus on what’s most important – the healing of their sick child. Know that when you support me and the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House, you are making these moments possible by providing a "home away from home" to families while their children receive medical treatment at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, and other nearby hospitals.
Just like last year, our walk is virtual with our "official" walk day scheduled for April 25th. That said, I have been "walking" since January 1 and have accumulated almost 600 miles so far. I have achieved my goal of virtually "visiting" all of the Houses in our Chapter as well as Camp, which is a 563 mile route. My goal is to raise $15,000 as I continue to walk for this amazing cause.
Since we can't walk together this year, I would love to have you sponsor me by clicking the red Donate button at the top of the page.
Thank you in advance for your support!
