Dear Friends,

I am participating in the 2023 Walk for Kids to raise funds to support a “home-away-from-home” for critically ill children and their families. I hope that you will join me in raising money for the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House. 

I am proud to lead the LARMH as our Executive Director and want to take this opportunity to share my sincere gratitude with you all. In 2022, the LARMH served more than 230 families, with an average length of stay of 99 days. With an operating budget of $3.2m in 2023, this year's Walk for Kids aims to raise $370,000 so that we can continue keeping families close to the care and resources that they so desperately need.

One such family is the Davis-Perez family who stayed with us for six months while their premature newborn son, Jacob, received treatment for a mass growing over his collapsed left lung and a bleed in his head. Jacob's father, Lance, shared that "having our family close was everything; it gave us somebody to talk to, somebody to keep us believing, somebody to keep us going and keep us fighting... there were a lot of days where that kept me together." 

"This is why we continue to support the Ronald McDonald House," shared Jacob's parents. "We want any other parent, any other family, any other child going through anything, to be able to have that gift of time with their family."
