This walk means the world to our family and we are so grateful for your consideration in walking with us this year to support this great cause.
When our daughter Victoria was going through cancer treatment my wife and I stayed at the Ronald McDonald house both in Long Beach and L.A. For close to a year we both slept at the house so we could stay as close as possible to our precious daughter. When she was just 2 months old Tori was diagnosed with ATRT brain cancer. She receive two rounds of chemotherapy at Miller's Children's hospital after a successful resection. From there we were transferred to Children's Hospital of LA where she receive stem cell transplants, intensive chemotherapy and over 20 rounds of focal radiation. During our stay she was admitted into the ICU two different times and barely made it out each time. We are now almost five years post treatment and Tori is thriving in so many ways.
We still have our share of complications developmentally due to all she's been through but her progress is tremendous and we are optimistic. Tori fought hard through her treatment to stay with us, and the Ronald McDonald house made it possible for us to stay with her when she needed us the most. My wife Amanda and I promised each other that we would do our part to give back in anyway possible when we could and this walk is a great place to start.
Please join Tori, Amanda and Myself in the Ronald McDonald Walk for Kids. We have created a team along with our gym The Sweat Shop and the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce. I hope that you will join me in raising money for seriously ill children and their families. Be sure to check back to view my progress, and please share this page so that I can reach my fundraising goal!
