Welcome to Monet's Walk for Kids Page!
Welcome to my Walk for Kids fundraising page! I hope that you will join me in raising money for camp programs for children with cancer and their families.
When my older brother, Billy, was six years old, he was diagnosed with Leukemia. He went through treatment and chemotherapy for 3 years before going into cardiac arrest in 2007 as an effect of prolonged chemotherapy. He suffered from a severe anoxic brain injury that left him in a permanent minimally conscious state with no physical function and little to no cognitive function. My family began attending camp in 2005, and I continued to do so until my high school graduation in 2019. Camp helped raise me, and it was my sanctuary. Through all of the pain surrounding my brother’s injuries, camp gave me the best community of mentors and peers, and I wish every single childhood cancer patient and sibling could have the same opportunity. I walk because Camp relies on your generous donations to continue operating, and I want to give back to show my endless appreciation for all they've given to me.
