Welcome to my personal Walk for Kids page!
FUN FACT: I have been volunteering with Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times since the summer of 2012. I started off just looking for something fun and meaningful to do during the summer and quickly fell in love not only with the mission of Camp but with the kids and their families as well. Year after year I continue to be amazed at the amount of love that is created within the Camp community in such short periods of time.
First, I cannot pretend to sympathize with what these amazing kids are going through. However, I have seen enough to know that these kids and their families are some of the strongest and most loving people that I have encountered. At such a young age they have been through more difficulties in life then the vast majority of adults. They have shown that they are fighters. That to me is inspiring.
I will continue to support Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times in anyway I can because I have been given the wonderful opportunity to experience first hand the amount of good one place can do. As counselors, we don't call this the happiest place on earth just because, we say this because we know the impact camp has on these kids and their families.
Camp is my home away from home. Now that I have told you a little bit of why I continue to volunteer and support this amazing place, I hope that you will join me in raising money for seriously ill children and their families. Be sure to check back to view my progress, and please share this page so that I can reach my fundraising goal!
For more than 30 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California has been dedicated to creating a community where children and their families embrace life and healing with a sense of hope, enthusiasm, courage and joy through the operation of Ronald McDonald Houses, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, a Community Grants Board and four Scholarship Programs. When you participate in the Walk for Kids, you are showing your support for families who are facing the fear and uncertainty of having a seriously ill child.
