Having watched my Brother go through cancer (at age 7), followed by my Husband 24 years later. I can confidently say that having a community of people who understand your journey is super important to the healing process for all parties involved.

Camp Ronald Mc Donald is not just a camp for kids with cancer but also a  camp for their family members too. It is a camp where siblings can finally express all of their emotions about what it was (is) like to watch helplessly as their brother or sister goes through endless rounds of Chemo therapy, Radiation, Bone Marrow Transplants, surgeries and many other treatments.

Often times the siblings are forgotten. Although they may not be the ones getting poked at they are feeling the pain just as much. This Camp remembers  the siblings and caters to them just as much as they do the patients.

For the patient this camp is a place where they can go and not feel alone. A place where they can go and not be scared of what others might think of them.

It is a place to forget about the doctor visits and just have fun.

Once Upon A Time I went to a camp that changed my life forever. I can't explain it all in writing. All I can say is that without this camp I would not be half the person I am today.

Any amount, great or small, helps to fund our mission to create a positive long-lasting impact on children and families impacted by cancer.

 Thank you!
