The Long Beach Ronald House opened in 2011. Since then we have served more than 3,800 families, (more than 14,000 people) providing a valuable community service to families facing the most difficult of life’s challenges; the illness of a child. We are dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of children, by providing a “home away from home” for families of seriously-ill children who are receiving care at a nearby medical facility.
No family is ever turned away due to inability to pay. Our families receive the added comfort of being surrounded by those who understand and can relate to the ordeal of having an ill child. The Long Beach Ronald McDonald House was built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on healing their child. The House gives families a place to stay, a source of comfort, care and support, and a chance to focus all of their energies on the one thing that matters most of all...getting well
