Walk for Kids 2018 - Pasadena

Tomato Squad

Welcome to our 2018 Walk for Kids team page!

We are the Tomato Squad Foundation - a group of moms who met and bonded at a parent education class when we were all sleep deprived new moms. Our babies are toddlers now, and we're still kind of sleep deprived, but we're ready to do more for our community.

This walk will help raise funds for the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House. This organization provides housing for families whose children are receiving treatment from nearby hospitals (e.g., Huntington Memorial, Children's Hospital LA, Shriner's). These families are not from the area and cannot afford to stay at a hotel during treatment. With the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House, families can focus solely on the health of their child and not have to worry about anything else. It costs $150 a day for one family to stay and the Pasadena House runs almost entirely on donations/fundraising efforts.

The walk starts and ends in Central Park, Pasadena. The walk is just over 2 miles and is stroller and wheelchair friendly. Registration is just $25 and kids are FREE!

We would love it if you and your family could join us on this fun-filled day! There will be lots of fun activities like music, booths, and inflatable slides before the walk, and food trucks after. If you cannot join us but would still like to support the cause, please consider making a donation through the link. Every dollar counts and any amount is appreciated! And 100% of the money goes directly to the Pasadena House to support seriously ill children and their families.

.If you are interested in making a secure online donation to help us reach our fundraising goal, please click the Donate Now button to the right of the page.
