Welcome to Sam Lant's Walk For Kids Page
Welcome to my personal Walk for Kids page! This is my 8th year doing the Walk For Kids!!! To Date...With your help - I have helped raise more than $12,000 to aid families with sick children stay together. This year I am hoping to raise even more. I have set my goal to $5000. Thank you in advance for all your help.
Why did I start supporting this charity? When I was 5 months old I developed RSV and had to be hospitalized for 5 days. After that I ended up in the hospital with asthma related illnesses at least once a year. I lived in a small town with a small hospital so my mom was allowed to stay with me. Moving to Los Angeles to pursue my love of acting made me realize that not all kids are that luckily. I found Ronald McDonald House is a great option for families to stay close to their sick children, and all for free or reduced rates. I decided this was the charity I wanted to support so that kids could keep their parents close by during scary situations.
I hope that you will join me in raising money for seriously ill children and their families. Be sure to check back to view my progress, and please share this page so that I can reach my fundraising goal!
For more than 30 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California has been dedicated to creating a community where children and their families embrace life and healing with a sense of hope, enthusiasm, courage and joy through the operation of Ronald McDonald Houses, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, a Community Grant Board and four scholarship programs. When you participate in the Walk for Kids, you are showing your support for families who are facing the fear and uncertainty of having a seriously ill child.
